THE MYSTERY OF SMUGGLERS
COVE
Paul Moxham
2012
Available:  Kindle

Twelve-year-old Joe Mitchell and his two younger sisters go to Smugglers Cove for the summer holidays. The story takes place in the 1950's and feels like it could have been written then, too. Shortly after they arrive, they get caught up in a mystery. They band together to expose a spy, putting themselves in danger.
Some kids may find THE MYSTERY OF SMUGGLERS COVE a little too dated and unrealistic or improbable, but kids and their parents who still love the original Famous Five or the Bobbsey Twins books will probably enjoy it.

TARGET AUDIENCE: 4-6
MYSTERY / SUSPENSE: traditional
KID APPEAL: kids who like the Bobbsey Twins
