CAM JANSEN AND THE MYSTERY OF THE DINOSAUR BONES

Availiable:
paperback, Kindle, library binding
Fifth grader Cam Jansen is with her class on a
fieldtrip to the Kurt Daub Museum. Cam is a nickname and short for camera
because she can take pictures in her mind. And remember them, too. So when the
class visits her favorite display, the dinosaur exhibit, she realizes something
is wrong. Some of the dinosaur's tail
bones are missing. When she points this out to the adults, they think she's
imagining things.
It's a cute story and a nice read. Cam and her
friend Eric use fifth-grade logic to track down the clues to solve the mystery. The
story flows well and although this story is a little older, it still feels fun
and fresh,
Target audience: Grades 4-5
Mystery / suspense: Good
