Available: Paperback, Kindle
Dodge is a retired police dog. Cassie is his girl. Together they make a great detective team. Cassie's mom is the town sheriff so with a little eavesdropping, they have the advantage of getting the inside scoop. The wealthiest man in town, Verdel Ward, has disappeared and didn't
leave a will which means everyone wants to claim his fortune. His maid and the town mayor are at the front of the line. When a couple of unknowns, a supposed fiance and lost twin brother arrive, both demanding to be named heirs, it's obvious there's a mystery afoot and its up to Cassie and Dodge to dig up the clues, sniff out the truth and solve the mystery.
The story is told from both the dog and girl's viewpoints in alternating chapters. It kind of fun reading the dog's take on what going on, and which clues smell to him. Kids who love pets will enjoy the story and the mystery.
Target Audience: 6-7
