BOOK REVIEW: HARDY BOYS: HAUNTED

HARDY BOYS: HAUNTED
Franklin W. Dixon
Simon & Shuster
2008

Available: Paperback & Kindle

Brothers Frank and Joe Hardy are still solving mysteries. They're special agents for ATAC in this Undercover Brothers series, an updated spin-off from the original series. Their latest mission takes them to the Undercliff House of Detention. Before it was a detention center, it was an insane asylum.
Their assignment is to discover how and why several of the detainees have died. It looks like they've all been scared to death. Who's behind the murders? Someone who works at the facility? Or is it a disgruntle ghost from the past?
This was a fresh update on an old series. It's action packed, fast paced and sure to appeal to guys.  All with a supernatural twist.

Target audience: Grades 7-9
Mystery / suspense: Good
Kid appeal: Boys!
