Available: paperback,
audible, Kindle
Fourth grader Jack Stalwart is spy
like his older brother Max who has disappeared. Of course their parents think
they are just regular kids. But they aren't. They work for THE GLOBAL
PROTECTION FORCE and are sent all over the world on assignments. When Max disappears, the agency
won't
give out any information. Not even about Max's last assignment. This means
Jack's on his own if he wants to find Max. The clues lead to him to Egypt and a
missing King Tut crown that's rumored to have magical powers. Armed with all
sorts of cool spy gadgets, Jack sets off for Africa to find his brother.
This is 13th in the series and is
action packed with history and mystery. Up front the book has all sorts of
quick reference tools for the reader, much like prompts in a video game. It's
not necessary to read them, to enjoy the story, but they add an element of
"coolness" to the book. Boys should love the action.
Target audience: grades 4-6
Mystery/ Suspense: fun
Kid appeal: Exciting
